Friends, or so...

By
Once, i said i wanted to stop working and start business, some people predicted I’ve lost my mind and other told me to embrace witchcraft so that I steer clear of bad luck but business is like gambling, so I believe we are all passers’ by and for sure corpses don’t wash themselves. Guns don’t kill people, rather people kill people and since the world is not asleep, I view everything through the third eye. It’s the last days as the bible predicted, people have greed and envy, some hide in religion and we call them holy but some are vampires within. A lot was said when my girlfriend left me but that was a key learning which made me wiser. I have gone through a lot, challenges of all sorts that’s why I don’t get surprised when they talk about me when I pass through; behind the shades of dark light and the glare of the sun’s light. I have no more friends because most of them were no-where in my times of need, they taught me that when every other cock crows, it is not automatically the...

Never EVER question God’s plan

By
Once upon a time not too long ago, I was born amongst poverty but motivated by a dream. My ambition was strong and all the while I was following God’s path - I could never go wrong. I took a road less travelled and I got a few scraps but the journey was all worth it just to achieve that dream.  Mama told me I would make it but some fools just laughed but I remember how the bible say, ‘the first shall be last’. Even though everyone skipped over me, i ignored all the haters and perfected my craft. I hold no grudge I just forgave and forgot. If you want to see a miracle, well here I am. Word of advice; Never EVER question God’s plan. I started down at the very bottom but hard work patience and skills I’ve got them. Never let another person ruin your dreams even when you’re at your lowest it ain’t bad as it seems instead of slamming around the house crying woe is me, thank God for what you have got and go get back on your feet. Open up your eyes and take a good long look, coz...

The prerequisite for greatness is the people that know their God!

By
The people that know their God, have a relationship with their God. You will be surprised of the huge number of people who go to church every Sunday and are not settled in their relationship with God. They love the idea of God but not necessarily the reality of God; they have unresolved issues with God. Many people clap and sing and shout and are not remotely convinced that God even loves them. Many of us have been taught the kind of faith which says that; you have to earn his love - and at the back of your mind you’re not sure that you have paid the bill to be good enough to have his love and because you are not settled in your relationship with God, you can’t work the promises of God because you really are not sure he is talking to you. God does not care for you….if God cared about you, why would you be in the mess you are in?  voices that say, either you are not good enough for God or God has not been good enough to you for you to be sure that he loves you. As suc...

Why Do Young People Engage in Social Movements?

By
Image
Young people have helped drive social movements around the world. From protesting the established order and furthering new ideas, Young People are often at the front-line of political and social transformations hoping to make the world a better place. Reasons for Young People participation in movements vary. Compared to adults, Young People often have larger social networks which can serve as conduits for the transmission of ideas and mobilization. Young People are more inclined to be innovative in their use of media. They may adapt the latest technologies to help spread their message and mission. Also, Young People may have more time and bandwidth than older generations giving them a greater chance to take risk and fight the status quo. Altogether, reasons such as these make Young People participation in Social Movements an incredibly powerful element!
